Does it fit other handhelds?
Anything in the R36S/R35S size class fits. Larger 4-inch and 5-inch devices such as the R36 Max do not.

Is the shell rigid?
Rigid enough to hold its shape under normal bag pressure. It is impact protection, not a crush-proof hard flight case.

Looking after the case itself

EVA shells shrug off water but they do collect dust in the fabric weave. A damp cloth and a minute of drying is the whole maintenance routine. Don't leave the case closed in a hot car with the console inside — that's hard on the battery, not the case. The zip is the part that wears first on any R36S carry case, so pull it around the curve rather than yanking straight across, and it will outlast the console.
